Brighde Chaimbeul is a multi-award-winning Scottish smallpipes player and composer from the Isle of Skye, known for her experimental Celtic music that deeply roots itself in her native Gaelic language and culture. She has developed a unique style emphasizing the rich, textural drones of the smallpipes, creating a trance-like and mesmerizing atmosphere in her arrangements. Brighde Chaimbeul’s recent endeavors include the release of her third album, 'Sunwise', on June 27th, 2025, which further explores traditional and experimental tones, featuring collaborations with artists like Colin Stetson. She is also touring 'Sunwise' in September 2025, with dates in the UK and Ireland, and has upcoming bookings in the Scottish Highlands and Islands for March 2026. Chaimbeul's work bridges traditional Gaelic songs with ambient, avant-garde, and electronic influences, earning her global recognition and awards such as the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award and the BBC Radio 2 Horizon Award.
