About Bochum Parkway

Bochum Parkway is a five-piece band hailing from Sheffield, UK, known for their distinctive sound which blends synthy, guitar-driven, punky, rocky, and electronic elements. Formed in 2003, with the current lineup solidifying in mid-2004, their music draws influences from indie and electronic genres, often being likened to acts such as New Order/Joy Division and Spiritualized, and described as "Techno-funk". They have actively distanced themselves from the "New Yorkshire" sound that was prevalent at the time of their emergence. In terms of recent endeavors, Bochum Parkway has upcoming performances scheduled, including an "Indie Showcase" in Sheffield on July 5, 2025, another "Indie Showcase" on August 23, 2025, and a show at The Foundry, University Of Sheffield, on April 18, 2026. They previously recorded the EP "Breaking Ranks," which featured the track "Solar Sonar" and was produced by the acclaimed Alan Smythe.
