Ben Sterling is a British DJ and electronic music producer from London, recognized as "a leader of the UK's new school" by Mixmag. His sound is rooted in tech house, acid house, and disco house, drawing influences from disco, modern electro, Chicago house, and Detroit techno. Sterling's sets and productions are characterized by an uplifting fluidity, blending acid house and raw electronic grooves. He has released on notable labels such as Hot Creations, Diynamic, Crosstown Rebels, Solid Grooves, OBLONG, and Hottrax, and is championed by major artists in the electronic music scene. Sterling also heads his own imprints, Planet X and its sister label X-Files, which serve as platforms for new talent and his diverse productions. In recent endeavors, Sterling released his "Step Forward" EP on Oblong Records in January 2024, an homage to Nathan Coles. He also dropped the single "Tribal Badman" on his Planet X label in July 2024, and " (Hey You) What's That Sound" with Les Rythmes Digitales. The year 2024 also saw his debut at Coachella and a significant showcase of his Planet X project during Miami Music Week. Looking ahead, a track titled "The Way I Am (Original Mix)" was released via PlanetX on January 24, 2025, and he is scheduled to perform at Decadence Arizona on December 30, 2025. Sterling was also nominated for RIOT Noise Breakthrough Artist of 2024 by DJ Awards. He continues to be a prominent fixture at global festivals and clubs, including Baum Festival, EDC Las Vegas, Sunwaves Festival, The Warehouse Project, and Ibiza's renowned DC10 and Amnesia.
