About the artist

BEAUTY SCHOOL DROPOUT is a Los Angeles-based rock band that emerged in 2020, blending alternative rock, indie rock, pop punk, pop rock, and hip-hop into what they term "renegade-pop." The band consists of lead vocalist Colie Hutzler, bassist Brent "Beepus" Burdett, producer/guitarist Bardo Novotny, and drummer Colton Flurry. They are signed to Verswire, a label co-founded by Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 and Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, who have also mentored the group. Their latest major endeavor is the release of their album, "WHERE DID ALL THE BUTTERFLIES GO?", which dropped on September 5, 2025. This album features recent singles like "TWO OF US," "SEX APPEAL," "FEVER," and "ON YOUR LIPS." Produced by Neal Avron, the album is described as a "story about unrequited love and the lengths we go to fill its void" and an aim to "make rock music feel fun again." BEAUTY SCHOOL DROPOUT has also been actively touring, including opening for Blink-182's stadium tour in 2023, and has an extensive schedule of European and North American dates extending into 2025 and 2026. Additionally, the band hosts a podcast called 'Out of Pocket' on idobi Radio.
