Balming Tiger is a South Korean "alternative K-pop" music collective known for its genre-bending sound, which fuses diverse styles including hip-hop, electro, punk, rock, and dance-pop. The group, formed in Seoul in 2018, operates as a multimedia collective comprising rappers, singer-songwriters, producers, video directors, and other creatives. They aim to showcase Asian culture and the broad spectrum of K-pop music to a global audience. In recent endeavors, Balming Tiger released a new EP titled 'Greatest Hits,' featuring the focus track 'Big Butt.' Most recently, on October 16, 2025, they teamed up with Korean-American artist Yaeji to release a double single, "wo ai ni / break it even." The music video for "wo ai ni" marked their first-ever fan-featured video, incorporating fan participation. The collective has previously gained international attention, including being highlighted by The New York Times as an alternative K-pop band, and has collaborated with notable artists such as IU, BTS's RM, and British rapper Little Simz. Their debut full-length album, 'January Never Dies,' was released in 2023.
