About the artist

AY YOLA is a Russian Bashkir-language folk-pop musical group formed in Ufa in 2024. The trio consists of Adel Shayhitdinova (vocals, guitar, dombra), Ruslan Shayhitdinov (keyboards, bass, kobyz, producer), and Rinat Ramazanov (vocals, quray). Their music is described as ethno-pop, blending ancient Bashkir epic "Ural-Batyr" with electronic music, trap, synthwave, and pop, utilizing traditional instruments alongside modern sounds. AY YOLA gained significant international recognition with their debut single "Homay," released in March 2025, which topped airplay and streaming charts in Russia and various Turkic states, and entered the global Shazam charts. In recent endeavors, AY YOLA was announced as an official ambassador for the International Music Contest "Intervision" on August 3, 2025. The band performed in Moscow on June 19, 2025, and is scheduled to perform in Erzurum, Turkey on October 17, 2025. They have an album titled "Ural Batyr" and are currently on a tour across multiple Russian cities in late 2025. The group's leader, Rinat Ramazanov, has also openly expressed support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
