About ARKAI

ARKAI is an award-winning electro-acoustic duo comprised of Juilliard-trained violinist Jonathan Miron and cellist Philip Sheegog, who redefine string music by fusing classical virtuosity with the electricity of a rock band, the spontaneity of a jazz combo, and the beauty of a string quartet. They are known for their genre-defying soundscapes that blend elements of classical, electronic, rock, pop, and EDM, often creating the sound of a full orchestra with just two instruments. Their debut album, "Crossroads," released in 2024, showcases this fusion of genres. In their latest endeavors, ARKAI has achieved significant recognition, including winning a Grammy for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album at the 68th Grammy Awards for their album 'Brightside' in February 2026. They were also nominated for the 68th Grammy Awards for 'Brightside' in November 2025. Recent performances include opening the Governors Gala of the 77th Emmy Awards in September 2025, performing the National Anthem and halftime show for the Los Angeles Lakers Playoffs in April 2025, and touring North America with pianist Tony Ann in October 2024. ARKAI also closed out the Baloise Session Festival in Switzerland alongside Tony Ann in November 2024 and performed at the GRAMMY Museum at National Sawdust in September 2025. Looking ahead, ARKAI is scheduled to set sail with Lindsey Stirling on the Master of Tides Cruise from May 13-17, 2025. They have also been commissioned by the Museum of Chinese in America to write a piece for their new exhibition, "Responses: Asian Americans Resisting the Tides of Racism".
