Annie-Claude Deschênes is a Montreal-based multidisciplinary artist, singer, musician, songwriter, performer, and visual artist, recognized for her two decades of contributions to the independent music scene, notably as the frontwoman of electro-punk bands Duchess Says and PyPy. She launched her solo career with the debut album "Les Manières de Table" in Spring 2024 via Italians Do It Better and Bonsound, which was longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize and marked a shift towards introspective and vulnerable electro-pop and dystopian disco, moving away from the aggression of her previous work. In April 2025, she released the single "Main de Fer," delving into minimal techno and experimental electronics. Her recent endeavors include a nomination for "Live Performance of the Year" at the 2026 Canadian Live Music Awards for her Winterruption YEG show and a notable performance at the Quebec Spring tour in London in May 2026, featuring interactive "dystopian disco" elements. She also performed in Québec and Europe in Fall 2025.
