An Abstract Illusion is a Swedish progressive and melodic death metal band formed in 2007, renowned for their intricate, emotionally resonant soundscapes that seamlessly bridge brutal extreme metal with atmospheric, cinematic depth. Following the massive underground success of their 2022 breakout concept album *Woe*, the band expanded their sonic palette with the release of their third full-length album, *The Sleeping City*, which leans heavily into retro-futuristic, synth-driven dystopian atmospheres. Continuing to expand their live footprint, they embarked on their first-ever Scandinavian headline run and lined up upcoming international festival appearances.
