Alt Bloom, also known as Ethan Thompson, is an alternative soul artist from Montana now based in Los Angeles, known for blending elements of soul, rock, and R&B with a unique palette. His music is often described as alternative R&B, pop, and singer-songwriter pop, characterized by introspective lyrics, atmospheric melodies, and soulful vocals. Thompson often incorporates his love for the outdoors and nature into his music and visuals, even living in a converted school bus near his studio. Since his debut as a solo project, Alt Bloom has accumulated millions of streams and has been featured in various publications. He previously released his debut EP, *Astronaut Complex*, and has collaborated with artists like gnash on "text talk touch". In a notable endeavor, he collaborated with National Geographic for their "Planet Possible" initiative, releasing nature-driven songs like "Fly Away" and "I Believe". His viral hit "High Sometimes" gained significant traction. His latest endeavors include a series of releases in 2025, such as the singles "Trust Dive," "Park Bench," "Be Like That," "Almost Once," and "Shine on Through." He also released the *Little Summer* EP and its deluxe version in 2025. Prior to these, in 2024, he released the *Good Intentions* EP and "Waterfall". He has also continued to perform, with past shows including appearances at First Avenue.
