About Alarico

Alarico, whose full name is Alarico Zucchi, is an esteemed DJ and producer hailing from Milan, Italy, recognized for his raw, fast-paced rhythms and kinky grooves within the techno genre. Heavily influenced by the forward-thinking techno sound of the 90s, he also draws inspiration from hip-hop and Japanese culture. He began his musical journey in 2015, establishing his "Alarico" alias in 2019 to showcase his personal style after exploring various techno sub-genres. He also operates under the alias Kenji Hina. Alarico made his production debut in 2020 with the 'Cut Yo' Finger EP' on Newrhythmic Records, and in 2021, he launched his vinyl imprint, Katana Records, which features a more mental and dark side of techno. He has released music on notable labels such as Mutual Rytm, OOM Records, and Token. In 2023, he released the 'Neo Tokyo' EP on Matrixxman's 'The Grid' label and contributed to the 'Federation Of Rytm II' compilation on the Mutual Rytm label. Recent and upcoming endeavors include releases such as 'Klockworks 38' in October 2023 and 'Drops of You' in September 2023. Looking ahead, Alarico has several releases scheduled for 2025, including "VS10YRS Part Three" on April 1, "Sonora" on February 6, and "CREA001" on October 17. He is also slated to appear on the first VA compilation from Madrid's Laster Records, launching September 26, 2025. Alarico continues to perform at significant events, with scheduled appearances at Primavera Sound 2025 (June 5-8, 2025), Mystic Garden Festival ADE 2025 (October 25, 2025), and Royal Highland Centre on April 18, 2026. He has also collaborated with artist Chlär to establish the project Funk Assault.
