Neoclassical

Akira Kosemura is a Japanese composer and music producer born in Tokyo, renowned for his distinct blend of neoclassical, Japanese classical, ambient, and electronica music. Self-taught on the piano since age three, his compositions often center around the instrument, augmented by electronics, strings, winds, and vocals. He established his own label, Schole Records, in 2007, and has also composed extensively for films, TV series, games, and commercials. Kosemura made his major debut with the traditional classical label DECCA in June 2023, releasing the solo piano album "SEASONS." He also released the piano solo album "88 Keys II" in 2023. His most recent major endeavor is the album "MIRAI," released on June 27, 2025, through Schole Records and Decca Records. This album marks his first vocal project, featuring collaborations with artists such as Devendra Banhart and Mr Hudson, and incorporates influences from Asian traditional instruments, film soundtracks, post-rock, and electronica. He also released the EP 'For Grandpa' on December 19, 2025, and contributed music to the 2025 anime series *Honey Lemon Soda*.
