About Air Supply

Soft rock

Air Supply is an Australian soft rock duo formed in Melbourne in 1975, consisting of English singer-songwriter and guitarist Graham Russell and Australian singer Russell Hitchcock. Known for their melodic ballads and romantic themes, they achieved significant global success in the late 1970s and early 1980s with a string of chart-topping hits, including eight top-five hits on the US Billboard Hot 100 like "Lost in Love" and "All Out of Love". Their music is characterized by lush arrangements and an adult contemporary style. Currently, Air Supply is celebrating its 50th anniversary, which commenced in January 2026 and continues throughout the year with a global tour. As part of these celebrations, they recently released their 18th studio album, "A Matter of Time," which is available for free on SoundCloud. The duo is also set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Class of 2026. Other endeavors include a Broadway comedy-drama musical, a biography to be published soon after Christmas, and a film biopic slated for release sometime in 2026. Despite their reputation for soft rock, Graham Russell describes their live shows as "hard-edge" and a "rock and roll show". They continue to tour extensively, with upcoming performances in various locations.
