Aimer live history: anime • j-pop • j-rock
Aimer is a Japanese pop and rock singer and lyricist, known for her distinctive husky alto voice and highly melodic songs that span J-pop, jazz, and pop-rock genres. She frequently contributes theme songs to popular anime series and films, having gained her unique vocal quality after recovering from vocal cord overuse at age 15. In her latest endeavors, Aimer embarked on her "3 nuits tour 2024" overseas, becoming the first Japanese solo artist to perform a two-day concert at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai in June 2024, with additional stops in Taipei and Hong Kong, including a performance on July 9th. She has also recently released new music, including "Sign," the opening theme for "Spice and Wolf: MERCHANT MEETS THE WISE WOLF," in 2024. Looking ahead, Aimer will release the new song "Live to Survive" on July 1, 2026, as the theme song for the "Sword Art Online" game "Echoes of Aincrad". Her 27th single, "Little Bouquet / Pastoral," released on November 12, 2025, serves as the double theme songs for the movie and TV anime "The Legend of Hei 2" and "The Legend of Hei" (Japanese dub), respectively, with "Little Bouquet" having an earlier digital release and "Pastoral" featuring a music video. Additionally, she has songs like "A World Where the Sun Never Rises" from "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle". Following her international performances, Aimer is scheduled for a nationwide hall tour across Japan starting in October 2024.
