Acantha Lang is a New Orleans-born, London-based soul artist known for her powerful vocals and captivating stage presence, blending retro soul, soul blues, and acid jazz with a sound compared to legends like Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight. Her critically acclaimed debut album, 'Beautiful Dreams,' released in 2023, reached #3 on the Official UK Jazz & Blues Albums Chart and #14 on the Official UK Independent Album Breakers Chart. The album garnered five-star reviews from publications like Echoes Magazine and was celebrated as Album of the Month by Soul Tracks, Relix, and American Songwriter. Lang's earlier EP, 'Sugar Woman' (2021), earned her the 2021 Soul Tracks Readers' Choice Award for New Artist of the Year. She has also cultivated a dedicated fanbase through her "Standing On The Shoulders Of" soul series, which has amassed over 13 million views online. A GRAMMY-nominated songwriter for her work with Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Acantha Lang was accepted into the Recording Academy's (Grammy) 2022 member class. In her latest endeavors, Lang made her US TV debut on CBS Saturday Morning and performed at the prestigious 2024 SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas.
