About the artist

ABBA is a Swedish pop group, originating from Stockholm, primarily known for their Europop, Euro disco, and pop music, but also incorporating elements of pop-rock, glam rock, synth-pop, and folk into their sound. The band released their first new album in 40 years, "Voyage," in November 2021. This was followed by the launch of the "ABBA Voyage" concert residency in May 2022 in London, which features the band performing as digital avatars (ABBAtars) with a live 10-piece band. In 2023, ABBA received the BRIT Billion Award for achieving over one billion UK streams, and their 1976 album "Arrival" was included in the United States Library of Congress's National Recording Registry in 2024. All four members of ABBA were also awarded the Royal Order of Vasa in 2024. Individual members continue to have endeavors, with Benny Andersson involved in new documentary and soundtrack releases in 2025, and expectations for the "ABBA Voyage" show to potentially add new songs to its repertoire.
