About the artist

True to its name, A Great Big World encompasses the GRAMMY® Award-winning artistry of Ian Axel and Chad King. Over their nearly 20-year career, they’ve earned praise for songwriting and collaborations spanning film, TV, animation, and acclaimed music releases. After meeting at NYU in 2005, they formed a creative bond built on a love of musicals and songcraft. The world fell in love with “Say Something” featuring Christina Aguilera, which reached six-times Platinum, earned over one-billion streams, and won the 2015 GRAMMY® for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Their debut album, Is There Anybody Out There?, debuted Top 3 on the Billboard 200 and went Gold. They followed with When The Morning Comes (2015) and Particles (2021). In 2024, they reimagined “Say Something” and released then there were sparks, featuring two new songs. Their next release, “Away We Go,” arrives August 1, 2025. Glee featured their songs “This Is The New Year” and “Rockstar.” In 2018, they wrote “Fall On Me” for Andrea and Matteo Bocelli, featured on Si and The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. They also wrote “Return to Love” (Bocelli & Ellie Goulding) and “Holding On” (Bocelli & Gwen Stefani). In 2023, they contributed to Slumberkins® and released “Nothing’s Impossible” with Rachel Platten for The Imaginary (Netflix, 2024). Their Wonder musical premieres Dec. 9, 2025, at ART’s Loeb Drama Center.
