4Rain, also known as Stephan Tavares, is a French-born Grammy-nominated DJ and producer known for his dynamic fusion of electronica and afro house music. He has received widespread acclaim in the house music scene, earning recognition as DJ Mag's Artist of the Week and securing a CDA Award for "Best Artist - Public Vote" in 2024, alongside nominations for "Best International Afro House DJ/Producer of the Year". In 2024, his track "Nova" featuring Aaron Sevilla reached the #1 spot on global Beatport rankings. His recent endeavors include a global distribution deal with Empire US and numerous releases, such as "Toxic" in January 2025 via Sony Music's One Seven Music label, which garnered 100,000 streams in its first week, and "Flores Blancas" in collaboration with Faul & Wad on Ultra Records in January 2025. More recently, he released the single "Desacate" in January 2026 and "Cure Desire" also in 2026. 4Rain has also expanded his international presence with DJ sets in various locations, including a notable performance at Illuzion in Asia in December 2024 and live mixes shot in Cidade Velha, Cape Verde, in 2023, embracing his African roots.
