44phantom, born Brayton Matthews, is an Oklahoma-born, Seattle-based artist known for his grunge-pop and alt-pop sound, blending rock and pop rock with raw energy and emotional depth. His music is characterized by powerful vocals, appealing melodies, dynamic instrumentation, and poignant, honest lyrics, often drawing influences from artists like Kurt Cobain, Carrie Underwood, and Drake. He gained recognition with his 2019 debut single "Break Your Heart" and has since signed a major label deal. In his latest endeavors, 44phantom released the single "Kansas" on July 5th, 2024, accompanied by an official music video. Other recent singles include "Double Casket," "nobody," and "about time" in 2024, as well as "ruin everything" and "control" in late 2023. He also has upcoming releases planned for 2026, including the singles "NO HARD FEELINGS" and "DOES GOD HOLD GRUDGES?", and an album titled "IN RETROSPECT". 44phantom is scheduled for upcoming tour dates in 2026, including a show at The Echo in Los Angeles in July.
